BuyQ Awards New Group Purchasing Contract to Amazon Business, Expanding Procurement Options for Charter and Private Schools

Denver, CO – BuyQ, a leading group purchasing organization dedicated to serving charter and private schools, is proud to announce the award of a new group purchasing contract to Amazon Business

BuyQ selected Amazon Business following an open and competitive request for proposals (RFP), leveraging the collective purchasing power of its over 4,200 charter and private school participants. The proposals were evaluated by a committee of school procurement professionals and BuyQ representatives, ensuring that the chosen vendor would deliver the best value and service to participating schools.

The competitively solicited agreement provides charter and private schools with a compliant way to purchase from Amazon Business without having to conduct their own individual RFPs.

“The breadth and depth of products available through Amazon Business, combined with their robust procurement tools, offer schools much more than just an online store,” said Christine Rafanelli, co-founder and CEO of BuyQ. “We look forward to helping our participating schools unlock the full potential of Amazon Business and maximize all the benefits it offers.”

Amazon Business, known for its vast selection of products, easy-to-use interface, and deep discounts, aligns well with BuyQ’s mission to help charter and private schools reduce operating costs while becoming more efficient and effective. The collaboration between BuyQ and Amazon Business goes beyond providing access to Amazon’s extensive product selection; it represents a shared vision of driving excellence in education through strategic purchasing.

In addition to broad product access, the contract offers schools the benefit of Amazon’s purchasing analytics, enabling more informed procurement decisions. Schools can enroll in curated catalog pricing, opportunities for e-procurement software integration, and bulk buying tools—all designed to save time and money.

“We’re thrilled to collaborate with BuyQ, an organization that shares our commitment to providing schools with high-quality products at great values,” said Brett Tuson, Director of Education, Amazon Business. “Charter and private schools play a vital role in shaping the future, and Amazon Business is proud to support schools and their students by providing them access to the tools they need succeed.”

Schools interested in using the contract can visit Amazon Business. There are no costs, long-term commitments, or spending minimums to participate
